The Pony Club
The Pony Club is an international voluntary youth organisation for young people interested in ponies and riding. Founded in England in 1929, and granted independent charitable status on 1st January 1997, there are around 345 Branches and 600 Centres in the UK alone. The Pony Club has been the starting point for a large majority of equestrian team members and medal winners.
The Pony Club is represented in 18 countries with a worldwide membership exceeding 110,477, making it the largest association of young riders in the world.
The objectives of The Pony Club are:
Membership is available to children until the end of The Pony Club Year or the Centre Membership Subscription Year, whichever is relevant, in which they become 21 years old.
Associate Membership is available for persons aged over 21 until the end of the Pony Club Year, or the Centre Membership Subscription Year, whichever is relevant, in which they become 25 years old. Associate Members must previously have been either Branch or Centre Members.
The British Horse Society
If you're passionate about horses The British Horse Society has so much to offer you. The BHS can offer guidance on everything you need to know about riding, caring for the horse and working in the industry. The BHS is also the home of British Riding Clubs, the largest movement for amateur riders in the UK.
No one works harder or with more success to improve standards of horse welfare and safety, increase and protect bridleway access, educate riders and horse owners, provide great membership benefits and inspirational riding experiences.
Association Of British Riding Schools
From our beginning over 50 years ago the Association has expanded in numbers and scope and variety of its activities. There are over 400 approved members throughout the UK, Ireland, Spain and Portugal. The Association offers a comprehensive examination system for grooms and teachers, whether fully experienced or still in training. The Association also offers a system of graded tests in equitation and stable management for member schools to offer to their clients.
